EUTEMPE MPE module 09 “Achieving higher quality in x-ray breast imaging”

This course aims to help the a Medical Physicist to acquire the knowledge, skills and competences necessary to exercise a leadership role within diagnostic and screening mammography in his/her own country and in Europe. The content of the module addresses all aspects of diagnostic and screening mammography, including radiological and epidemiological issues and provides the knowledge to assess (screening) quality and to perform high level trouble shooting.

The course consists of an online part, which can be taken by the participant at home and a face-to-face part in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
In the face-to-face part participants will have the opportunity to discuss the major issues directly with the present European leaders of the profession. The participants will also be updated with the latest developments in mammography (screening).

  • Starting date of online course: 21 January 2019
  • Date face-to-face course: March 25th until March 29th, 2019
  • Written exam: afternoon of March 29th
