Breast cancer
Early detection is key in the treatment of breast cancer. By order of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the LRCB performs several tasks within the breast cancer screening programme. For example, we periodically carry out audits, to monitor people and equipment. On the physico-technical side we perform quality control measurements on the imaging systems.
Tuberculosis
Until January 1, 2022, we carried out activities for quality assurance and optimization of TB screening on behalf of GGD GHOR Nederland. To this end, we periodically monitored medical technicians and TB screening physicians, trained professionals and checked the equipment and workstations. We have stopped these activities with effect from 2022.
